I really have this hippie thing going on these days! I've always had a thing for the late 60s and early 70s. I really think it comes from an early exposure to The Beatles. I discovered their music when I was 8 or 9 and I quickly got addicted. Paul McCartney was my first musician crush! It's funny, because while girls my age where fantasizing about N*SYNC and the Backstreet Boys, I was collecting pictures of a young McCartney in a black suit and a mop top haircut. I have to admit I was quite in shock when I learned that my beloved Sir Paul was actually older than my grandpa... Duh.
I remember being 10 or so, doing a presentation about The Beatles and getting teased afterwards because I liked ''old people's music''. This is kind of amusing, since the people who used to tease me are now huge Beatles fans! After all, what's not to like about the Fab Four?
I am not an hysterical fangirl, but I think this band had a deep influence on my life. The Beatles got me interested in load of things. They got me interested in vinyl, concept albums, 60's fashion, counter culture, sitar, tea... They got me interesting in classic rock, psychedelic music and bands from the 60's and 70's. They got me interested in Jefferson Airplane, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Doors, The Mamas and the Papas, Simon & Garfunkel. I learned to speak english by listening to the Beatles (no kidding haha). They brought me into a world of walruses, magical mystery buses and cellophane flowers and opened my mind to the wonderful world of something called ''the past''. That's why I consider them my favourite boy band of all time.
Has a certain band or musician influenced your life in some ways?

PS- I just came across this nice little video and the beginning pretty much sums up my childhood! Elitists might hate me for saying this, but it makes me terribly nostalgic.
