Grace Slick

Yesterday I wore my awesome paisley dress. When I saw it in the store last spring, I was hesitant, since I had no idea how I could style it. Since it was just 5$, I picked it up anyway and it quickly became one of my favourites. The fit is a little loose, which I like, and it's perfect for both summer and winter. I call it my ''Grace Slick dress'', since it reminds me of an outfit worn by the stunning Jefferson Airplane singer in the 60's (see B&W picture). I tried to take a picture imitating her but I ended up looking like a serial killer and I was too lazy to try again. Duh.

Dress: Stitches Méga Entrepôt (5$) // Vest: H&M (17$) // Tights: Simons (6$)
Belt: Urban Outfitters (5$) // Shoes: clubcouture (5$)

I'm a bit mad right now. This morning, I went to Tecnic to sign up for driving lessons, but it was closed. By brother told me he had checked for the schedule, but he lied (liar liar pants on fire) and Tecnic's office actually doesn't open until 1PM. I'll have to go back tomorrow... meh. I can't wait to attend the driving classes and finally get my (insert one or more swears here) driver's license. I hate how people don't take you seriously when you tell them that you're 19 and don't know how to drive. They look at you with big round eyes and this interrogative face that I just loathe. Plus, it's quite frustrating to have to carry a gym bag, a laptop, a regular backpack, a tripod and a camera bag into the town buses when I go to school. I can't wait to get a car, put all my stock on the backseat and stop worrying someone might steal my tripod. If I start my lessons this month, I'll get my temporary license in a year, which means I'll be authorized to drive alone in February 2013. SQUEEEE. I'll plan a major roadtrip to celebrate :)

Here's a little motorized eye candy that I would love to drive someday (hey! a girl can dream!)...

An avocado green Ford Maverick! For sale? I'll buy it!

A brown Dodge Dart!

A purple Dodge Challenger! I saw one the other day... it was parked near the restaurant where I work and I stared at it for a solid 15 minutes.

A light green Chevy Nova!

GREASED LIGHTNING!!! Just kidding on this one...

I really have a thing for RVs, too. See this beautiful 1970 GMC Motorhome...
... and this awesome RV interior!
A classic Winnebago Indian... though I don't think I could drive/need something this big. I'd stick to the Mini Winne.

Too bad my first car will most likely look like a bunch of clunky ruins on wheels... Haha!

  3. I'm a big fan of paisley! But for me I find it kinda herd to wear. It's just such an awesome pattern! anyways. You did another great job. I love the sixties vibe from it. (american sixties) If it makes you feel any better I'm 19 and only have my learners permit (must drive with some 21 or older) I got it probably 3 months ago. I'm not that big on driving but now that I want to get out and do more stuff I wish I had my licensee already! I see you're into older muscle cars which is cool. I personally enjoy old hondas, toyotas, volkwswagons, and of course older sports cars. I've been on the search for something I like but it's actually quite hard to find. For a couple months I was really wanting an rv too! I think they're so cool and wouldn't it be cool to just hang out in it with some friends? If you're going to pay for your car or for some of it I would recommend getting something that you really want. Don't settle on anything else. ( like the clunker) :P
