You know what? I'm still alive! :)
This week was very, very stressful. I had a thousand projects to complete and I was in a super bad mood, skipped breakfast and lunch, ate McDonald's for supper at least four times in a row, listened to sad pop music, acted like an asocial person and considered chopping my long locks to evacuate anger. Ha! I was so busy being insane and working so much that I missed the blog's first anniversary! Oooops...

It's been quite a year for this little blog of mine! Over the last 12 months, THE SUN WAS HIGH went from a portfolio/ranting blog to a melting-pot of personal style, music and graphic design. I even switched from Quebecois French to English to reach more people from all over the world. Blogging brought me awesome opportunities, like becoming a weekly collaborator for Ton Petit Look, but my favourite perk is how it helped me develop my personal style. Since I was always looking for different outfits to post, I became more daring and started embracing my inner mod/hippie/old lady/retro girl. I've always had slightly non-conventional tastes in clothing, but my blog allowed me to really express myself through fashion. I am now open to weird colour combinations, crazy pirate tights, shoulder pads, granny shirts, dresses made of thrifted bedding... Dressing up is such an awesome way to stay creative and blogging about your daily outfits is a great way to archive all your best looks. The blogosphere is a goldmine of sartorial inspiration and it's such a fun community to be part of!
I really want to thank all my readers for being here and (hopefully!) enjoying my posts day after day. I love reading your comments, visiting your blogs and sharing inspiration with you. Now I want to know... Is there something you would like to see more of on this blog? Graphic design, music...? I'm open to suggestions :)
Here's to another totally rad year of THE SUN WAS HIGH!
