I hear the midnight birds, the message in their words

I feel like it's been AGES since my last outfit post! Last week's outfits were all dedicated to a special remixing post for Ton Petit Look, so I had to keep them secret! ;)

Speaking of TPL, my fellow collaborator Sophia kindly gave me this Ève Gravel dress the last time I went to Montréal. I don't have a big sister and I rarely receive hand-me-downs except from my aunt, so I was excited to get some! I was unsure how to style this one, but I accepted it anyway (free clothes from a totally cool person, yowza!). It had some weird black knit strings attached to one shoulder and once I removed these, the dress suddenly appeared to me like the perfect weekend basic. Awesome! Today, I styled it with soft pastel shades. I felt all cute and girly in this outfit (it must be the bows. I've been a sucker for bows lately).

I don't think I've shown you this satchel yet, but it really is the most fabulous bag ever. It was a bit of a splurge (50$, eek!), but I've carried it everywhere since I bought it last March. The pastel colours are delightful and it has enough room for notebooks and magazines, which is a huge plus for me! I'm a big doodler and magazine junkie...

Dress: Ève Gravel (hand-me down) / Shirt: vintage Simons / Earrings and shoes: thrifted
