Pack Rat

This is what I wore today while doing absolutely nothing special... I just stayed home and began cleaning up my room. I put at least 40 magazines into the recycling bin. I'm such a hoarder when it comes to magazines! Ugh. They were taking over the place, so I had to get rid of all this paper clutter. I only kept are my NYLONs and my BUSTs. Oh, and some issues of the anglophone version of Chatelaine (for the recipes!). Okay, I also kept all my issues of Julie. It's a french kid's magazine and I have every single issue between 1999 and 2005. I stopped buying it when its price suddenly went from 2,95$ to 8,95$ (before tax!). Oh, what a tragic day it was... I had four dollars in my hand, my Julie in the other and the clerk said "ten dollars". End of childhood! I would feel bad for throwing away my collection. Julie was such a big part of my childhood and preteen years... And those magazines contain some super cute illustrations! I'll part with them when the moment is right. See? I'm a total pack rat! My wardrobe will be even harder to clean up ;) I may or may not open a "shop my closet" e-store before school starts... but for now it's just an idea.

My mom kept teasing me about the flower crown... It was not even funny! I felt cute in it, so I just ignored her stupid remarks (I can't even write them here!) and kept it on. I think flower crowns add the perfect romantic/ethereal touch to basic outfits. They're so cute for summer and I'll wear mine more often during the next few months, despite my mom hating it! Ha! What's your favourite summer accessory?

  2. The flower crown is great! It screams summer. My favorite summer item would have to be my straw hat for sure. I love it and it just happens to go with quite most of my outfits. haha. I really like the pastel touches to the outfit and the yellow shoes are awesome!
btw, thanks for the comment on my vehicle series. appreciate it.
Hope you have a good weekend!
