Quick Photoshop: participating in Alex Beadon's "Edit This Photo" challenge

Young English photographer Alex Beadon has a section on her blog called Edit This Photo. The concept is simple: Alex gives out an high-resolution photo and asks her readers to edit it and send it back to her. Then, she puts all the edits in one blog post for the world to see. It's so fun to contemplate all the different versions of the same picture!

This was my first-ever Edit This Photo participation. This month's photo was already beautiful, but I wanted to increase its ethereal feel so I went for a warm, glowing atmosphere. I can't wait to see what other people came up with and I'm looking forward to another of Alex's retouching challenges :)

    1. I've been using Adobe Photoshop for years and it's really my favourite software for editing photos! However, I know a software called GIMP that is very powerful, and it's a great (and free!) alternative to Photoshop :)

    3. Most of the time, I adjust the curves, selective colours and sometimes add light leaks. Experiment with layer modes and selective colours and you will get some pretty cool results :)
