I finally found the courage to go outside my apartment to take outfit pictures. I am very lucky to live in the oldest part of Quebec City. These pictures were taken in the Artillery Park, which is part of the Fortifications of Quebec National Historic Site. And, um, it is pretty much my backyard. Since moving into my apartment back in March, I've been wanting to take pictures outdoors but my super-shy self was not so fond of being watched by passerby. In the suburbs, I could take a hundred pictures without anyone noticing but the town is another world ;) Today there was a old man staring at me from his park bench and it was totally awkward. I will eventually get over it and become known as the weird lady with a million dresses who smiles to herself in front of a camera. Ha! C'est la vie!
In the past few days, I went to the Comptoir Communautaire St-Joseph a thousand times. Definitely my new favourite place to thrift! I found some pretty rad vintage shirts for about 2 or 3 $ apiece. Hurrah for cheap hawaiian button-downs! I also got a bunch of scarves, including this red one. I've been wearing my scarves cowboy-style lately and my friend Pascal says it reminds him of Bonnie Parker. Well, more like Faye Dunaway as Bonnie Parker. I didn't find a single picture of the real Ms. Parker with such a scarf. Judging from this picture, she looked pretty stylish, though.
