So... I'm back in Québec City after a crazy two-months adventure in Montreal. Long story short, back in May, marketing / advertising / design agency Bleublancrouge (eek!) contacted me out of the blue to offer me to freelance for them (eeeeek!) and I found myself quitting my waitress job and moving to Montreal on the spot. Yup, it was pretty cuckoo but absolutely worth it. At first, working for a big agency was quite nerve-racking. Boy, I felt so young and unexperienced! However, I slowly gained more confidence and maturity, both as a designer and as a person. It was a very rewarding experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. That said, I'm glad to be back home. Quebec has this very special village-y feel which I found myself craving in Montreal. I missed my friends, my family, my little apartment and my favourite hangouts (especially the record stores and thrift shops!).

Speaking of thrift shops, I got this pretty vintage skirt the other day. My favourite charity shop was offering 50% off everything so I only paid 2$ for it. Not bad! I fell even more in love with it when I noticed the pockets while editing my outfit photos. The skirt is a bit too large for me, but I think I'll be able to shrink it easily, since it's made of wool. Since the cut is very retro, I paired it with a graphic top to add a pop of colour and make the whole look more modern (but still timeless!). I must say it was my favourite outfit in a long time. I felt so classy and ladylike in it :)

Shirtdress (worn as top): Simons • Skirt: vintage • Hat: H&M • Belt + shoes: thrifted

Dion • The Wanderer

I recently sang The Wanderer at a karaoke. Ah, my all-time favourite macho song!

  1. Lovely outfit! :)

So cute! Love the way you post-process your pictures! Do you use special photoshop actions or lightroom presets? Would love a "how-to blogger" post about that! xo Jane
