SPEED SKULL

Last weekend, I embroidered a few Bert Grimm speed skulls while watching the Super Bowl (which I didn't really cared for anyway). I like this design a lot, so I decided to make a little stop motion animation to showcase the final patches. I shot the pictures with my iPhone, edited them with the VSCO app and animated the whole thing in Photoshop. I should do this more often! I used to make tons of GIFs back in the days (*cough cough* like, a decade ago *cough * ), so it was fun to rediscover the great joys of creating animated pictures.

I hope you like the result as much as I do!

  1. Those are so cool and so is the edit! What are you going to use the patches for?

    1. Thanks! :) Sometimes I make magnets, pins, or I just sew them on denim jackets. I'm giving one of the skulls to a friend for his birthday and the others will be up for grabs (maybe I'll approach a local shop, I don't know yet).
